County of Oxford

Oxford County, incorporated in 1805, is located on the western edge of Maine and borders New Hampshire and Canada. The county, which celebrated its bicentennial in 2005 has its county seat in South Paris
The towns of this region are mostly small and rural. Rumford is largest city. The mountain region provides both summer and winter recreation opportunities and boasts some of the state’s best skiing along with miles of hiking and snowmobile trails.
The Appalachian Trail, Grafton Notch State Park and numerous lakes and rivers are part of this outdoor enthusiast’s paradise.
